Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta Launches Annual Campaign with $80,000 Goal

Every day at the Club, kids in Cleveland build skills that last a lifetime. Your support makes this possible.

We are excited to announce the launch of our first formal Annual Campaign – with a goal of raising $80,000 to support Club programming and community outreach across the Mississippi Delta.

Thanks to early support, $32,000 has already been committed toward the goal. That means we’re nearly halfway there before the campaign has even fully begun.

David Dallas, CEO, thanks early donors to the Annual Campaign. ‘Our children are our most important asset,’ he says.

A Campaign for Our Children

“We are grateful for the support we have received and hope other individuals and businesses in the Delta will join our efforts to help the most important asset we have – our children,” said David Dallas, Chief Executive Officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta.

The campaign is being led by Annual Campaign Chair Burns Strider, along with a volunteer committee that will reach out to individuals and businesses from now through July in the eight counties we serve:

  • Bolivar

  • Coahoma

  • Grenada

  • Leflore

  • Humphreys

  • Tallahatchie

  • Holmes

  • Yazoo

Serving the Delta Since 2002

Since 2002, we have been inspiring young people to reach their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. Today, we serve more than 1,800 youth annually through ten Club locations in:

Belzoni, Clarksdale, Cleveland, Greenwood, Grenada, Itta Bena, Jonestown, Lexington, Tutwiler, and Yazoo City.

“We are confident that, with the campaign leadership in place, our communities will rise to the occasion and successfully reach our campaign goal,” Dallas added.

Our Belzoni Club – a humble but mighty space made possible through partnership with White Star Baptist Church. This recently opened location is already serving local youth, but we need your help to expand programs, supplies, and resources. Your support in our Annual Campaign helps turn every corner of the Delta into a place where kids can thrive.
