Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta’s mission is:
"To enable all young people of the Mississippi Delta, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens."
For more than 17 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta (BGCMSD) has been at the forefront of youth development. We help youth across the Delta achieve great futures, providing a safe and fun place to belong. We strive to provide a world-class Club Experience that assures success is within reach of every young person who walks through our doors.
Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta has 8 Clubs across the Mississippi Delta. Our locations include:

Clubs serve youth, 6-18, with afterschool programs (Mon-Friday 3:00-7:00pm) and 8-week summer programs (Mon-Fri 8:00am – 5:00pm). There are no fees for membership.
Youth participate 5 Key program areas:
- Education & Career Development (tutoring, computer literacy, career goals, academic success)
- Health & Life Skills Development (fitness, abstinence, anti-bullying, substance abuse prevention, healthy eating)
- Character & Leadership Development (civic engagement, volunteerism, workforce readiness)
- Sports, Fitness & Recreation
- the Arts (visual, dramatic, music, culinary arts programs)
These Program Areas provide participants with a well-rounded, holistic approach to fully engaging in and exploring their communities, talents, and dreams. Our Club members are making decisions that will support the realization of goals they set for themselves.
During 2019 the Boys & Girls Club of the Mississippi Delta had 1,936 registered members, and community outreach programs reached an additional 3,000 youth.
In 2020 we had right at 1,000 registered members, and we served over 3,000 youth across the Delta. Our numbers were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic and guidelines established by the CDC. In fact, the majority of the youth and families we served were done so virtually.
In 2021, our goal is to provide and maintain an in-person Club experience for our pre-pandemic members, their families, and partnering organizations. This level of growth is ambitious. However, it barely scratches the surface. The needs of young people in the Mississippi Delta are staggering. But there is hope! Results show our Clubs are making an impact.
