A Tradition of Impact

For 15 years, this tournament has been more than just a day on the golf course. It's a testament to what a community can accomplish when it comes together for its children. Last year's 14th Annual Scramble for Youth raised over $21,000 to support life-changing programs at the Grenada Boys & Girls Club.

The funds raised are critical. They provide:

A safe place after school and during the summer
Mentoring from caring adult professionals
Healthy meals and nutrition education
Enriching programs in academics, the arts, leadership, and STEM

This annual tournament is the passion project of former Board President Mike Nabors, who, with the invaluable assistance of the Grenada Boys & Girls Club Advisory Council, orchestrates this event year after year. Their dedication ensures that every dollar raised goes directly to empowering the young people who walk through the Club's doors.

About The Dogwoods Golf Course

The Dogwoods Golf Course at Hugh White State Park takes full advantage of the natural beauty surrounding Grenada Lake. Deep woods enclose undulating fairways leading to large, inviting greens. A variety of tee boxes give each hole a different look and play, challenging long hitters while giving opportunity to those with less distance. This championship 18-hole, par-72 course—one of the best public courses in Mississippi—was carved out of the forest with only necessary clearing. The hilly layout demands sharp skills and accurate ball-striking.
