Tutwiler Community Center Reopens with After‑School Basketball, Pop‑In Open House, and Summer Club
The Boys & Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta is proud to announce the return of youth programming at the Tutwiler Community Education Center – now open and ready to serve families in Tutwiler and surrounding communities.
This spring and summer, we’re launching three major initiatives to keep kids active, fed, and engaged.
After‑School Basketball – Starts April 27
Beginning Monday, April 27, the Tutwiler Center will host after‑school basketball for boys and girls ages 6–12. The program runs Monday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Leading the court are Coach Bernard Berryhill – a 2016 NFHS State Coach of the Year and former head coach at West Tallahatchie High School and Cleveland Central High School – and Coach Khristopher Smith, both experienced youth development professionals with the Boys & Girls Clubs.
Only 25 spots are available on a first‑come, first‑served basis. There is no minimum activity fee – any fees are discussed individually with parents, and no child is turned away due to inability to pay.
To register your child, call Program Coordinator Lucinda Berryhill at (662) 345-8393.
